Join Us In God’s Work

Something miraculous happens in our own hearts when we serve the neediest among us. We see how fragile our own lives are. We recognize our total dependence on God and His rich blessings in our lives. Our relationship with Him grows deeper and stronger than before and He uses us to work miracles in the lives of others.

FPC has been blessed with the opportunity to show the love of Christ to KARM residents the second Saturday of most months, at special events, at our weekly services, Celebrate Recovery, and Men’s Events.

We leave FPC at 10:45 am (or you can meet us a KARM at 11:30am (directions), we have lunch with the guys and return around 1:30pm. KARM shelters nearly 400 people and serve more than 1,000 meals every day. For people on the road to recovery, KARM offers biblically-based counseling, addiction treatment, and therapy as well as job training and employment services in our long-term residential facilities. KARM offers something no program could ever provide, they offer a loving network of staff and church volunteers who are totally devoted to the people they serve...who stay when the going gets rough and stand fast in the face of setbacks. It is these remarkable relationships that are the key to helping the homeless put their lives back together. For in the end, KARM knows that facilities and programs offer hope, but the love of Christ changes lives.
